Super Curcumin is an extract of turmeric (curcuma longa) which contains a highly available antioxidant. It is the compound of Curcumin in turmeric that gives it a yellow colour and its smell. Traditionally turmeric was used as a spice and in more recent times as a food colouring. Its medicinal and many beneficial effects that have been utilized for over three thousand years however in the past 50 years it has been subject to many trials and studies which have proven its uses.
As well as being a powerful antioxidant Super Curcumin is known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-cancer effects and can also lower cholesterol levels. It also has other qualities. It is known that stimulates the production of detoxifying enzymes whilst suppressing other enzymes thought to be harmful if overly expressed. Our Super Curcumin also contains a type of pepper called Bioperine which makes Curcumin up to twenty times more effective.
Super Curcumin can induce what is known as apoptosis. Apoptosis can simply be explained as programmed cell death (PCD). Also its powerful antioxidant effects protect and repair damage caused by free radicals.
Although Super Curcumin can be very useful in the treatment and prevention of cancer it has many other important uses. Super Curcumin is a known anti-viral and helps prevent against viral damage to your liver. It helps in regulating cholesterol levels and helps maintain a healthy heart. Super Curcumin also has the ability to aid digestion. By inducing the proper flow of bile it helps break down fats which is a key part of digestion. Apart from this Super Curcumin is very useful in joint related concerns. As a anti-inflammatory Super Curcumin inhibits the production of a protein molecule which acts like a switch to turn on certain genes which cause the inflammatory response.
Dosage and Use
Take one capsule once or twice daily with or without food, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.
Caution
Do not take more than 15 mg of Bioperine® per day. Do not use Bioperine® without physician supervision since it may increase blood levels of prescription medications. Do not take if you have gallbladder problems or gallstones. If you are taking anti-coagulant or anti-platelet medications, or have a bleeding disorder, consult your healthcare provider before taking this product.
