Organic Flax Seed Oil

Flax Seed (Linseed) oil is the richest source of Omega 3 or Alpha Linolenic Acid, an Essential Fatty Acid (EFA).

Flax Seed oil is an exceptional source of EFAs; the essential fatty acids that we must obtain from our daily diet because, like vitamins, we can't produce them on our own.
Essential Fatty Acids are missing from our modern diets. Processing food removes many if not all of the EFA’s that are so important to our health.

Flax Seed Oil will help with:

• high blood pressure
• sticky platelets
• issue inflammation
• eczema
• dry skin
• mental deterioration
• low metabolic rate;
• some kinds of immune dysfunction;
• weakness;
• impairment of vision and learning ability;
• motor co-ordination;
• tingling sensations in arms and legs;
• behavioral changes;
• high triglycerides;

Flax seed oil has a 4:1 LA to LNA ratio. It is important that you balance your intake of EFA’s. Cancer patients should consume a small portion flaxseed oil every day. If flaxseed oil is used in diet for too long time, without other oils, it may cause Omega-6 deficiency symptoms. In curing cancer, it is recommended to blend flax seed oil with cottage cheese, a  source of sulfur rich protein.

Linoleic Acid (LA) (Omega6) Deficiency Symptoms Include:

• Eczema, dry skin
• Hair loss;
• liver degeneration;
• behavioral disturbances;
• kidney degeneration;
• excessive water loss through the skin accompanied by thirst;
• drying up of glands;
• susceptibility to infections;
• failure of wound healing;
• sterility in males;
• miscarriage in females;
• arthritis-like conditions;
• heart and circulatory problems ; and
• growth retardation;

Directions For Use:

Simply add to food to improve both the flavour and nutritional content. Take 1-2 teaspoons (5-10ml) daily. Flax seed oil should not be heated because this will dramatically reduce its beneficial effects. Heating will destroy many of the essential fatty acids. Flax seed oil can be added to all foods once removed from direct heat to improve both the flavour and nutritional content. Flax oil can also be used on the skin to reduce eczema and sooth dry skin

Storage Instructions:

Processing at low temperatures dramatically increase shelf life and providing the oil is stored correctly will achieve an extremely good shelf life. It can be stored up to 12 months in the right conditions.

Rancid Flax seed oil is harmful. It is very important that is stored correctly. Light, heat and air will damage it so store tightly capped in the refrigerator. Refrigerate after opening and consume within 10 weeks. Our oils are vacuum packed under nitrogen and we store it refrigerated in the dark. It is ok to let the oil return to room temperature but to get the best out of it always keep it cool. We will get it sent to you as quickly as possible.

LA – Linolenic Acid or Omega 6
LNA – Alpha Linolenic Acid or Omega 3
