Hydrogen Peroxide For Candida

Candida albicans (c.albicans) is a yeast that lives quite naturally in the lower bowel, vagina and skin. A healthy immune system keeps this yeast under control, principally through the presence of friendly bacteria like Bifidobacterium Bifidus and Lactobacillus acidophilus, which loves to 'eat' yeasts like c. albicans.

Hydrogen peroxide is a popular way for those in the know to defeat a long running candida problem. Hydrogen peroxide kills the candida fungus in the gut whilst strenghthening the intestinal beneficial bacteria.

However a compromised immune system often does not have the right amount of these bacteria. A course of anti-biotics, steroids or other immuno-suppressants will kill the friendly bacteria, but not the c.albicans (which is a fungus).
