Apple Cider Vinegar - Can I use it in my home?

Apple Cider Vinegar makes an excellent, non-toxic household cleaner suitable even for some of the toughest cleaning tasks. The Ascetic acid in the vinegar
is an effective deodoriser and will cut through rease and disolve mineral buildups (lime scale) with ease. Because of its antibacterial and antifungal properties
the Aple Cider VInegar also makes an effective disinfectant preventing the growth of moulds and bacteria. This anti-microbila effect can be increased by 10 fold
when using the Apple Cider in conjunction with a 3%hydrogen peroxide solution, killing germs like salmonella, shingella and e.coli.

Apple Cider is a cheap, safe and environmentally friendly alternative to everyday chemical cleaning products.

Drain Cleaner.
Use an Apple Cider Vinegar, Baking Soda and Salt mix to clean and deodorise partially blocked drains.

Mix 1/2 cup of salt and 1/2 cup of bakingsoda into a bowl and pour down the effected drain.
Next pour in 1/2 a cup of vinegar.
The Apple Cider Vinegar and and Baking Soda will react with each other giving off harmless carbon dioxide gas.
After 2-3 hours flush he drain through with water.

Floor Cleaner.
You can clean any Wooden floors and kitchen tiles with a simple mix of Apple Cider Vinegarand warm water. Add 1 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar to 3.5 litres of warm water. Dont forget to mop up any excess water from the floor to prevent warping of the tiles or wood.

Kitchen Worktops and cutting boards.
For the best results use undiluted Apple Cider Vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray onto surface, and then immediately after sray the surface with a 3% soution of Hydrogen Peroxide. Wipe the area clean and rinse with water.

Bathroom.
The Apple Cider Vinegar mix can also be used to to kill nasties in the bathroom. It will also kill moulds that may be trying to get a foothold as well as removing scale, leaving your bathroom taps gleaming.

Cleaning Meats and Vegetables.
To clean away parasites,moulds and nasty pesticide chemicals from your vegetables and meat use a 50/50 solution of Apple Cider Vinegar and 3% Hydrogen Peroxide wash.

Odour Remover.
As well as being effective against body and pet odour Apple Cider Vinegar is also excellent at removing household odours. The Apple Cider Vinegar
breaks down thevolatile compounds and kills the bacteria that are responsible for many nasty household smells.

Window Cleaner.
Spray onto your windows a 50/50 solution of Apple Cider Vinegar and water. For really dirty and stained windows use undiluted Apple Cider Vinegar. When the solution has dried wipe clean with paper towels for a smear-free finish.

Fabric Conditioner.
People with sensitive skin may be interested to know that Apple Cider Vinegar has good fabric conditioning qualities. Simply use half a cup of Apple Cider Vinegar instead of your regular fabric conditioner.

Garlic, Onion and fish smells can be removed from the hands by simply rinsing the hands with undiluted Apple Cider Vinegar.

To combat unpleasant kitchen smells boil a saucepan containing a solution of 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 cup of water.

To remove the smell of cigarette smoke, spilled beer, vomit, paint etc from a room simply place a bowl of Apple Cider on the floor overnight. You can do the same for a car, but don't forget to take the bowl out before you start driving!!
