Apple Cider Vinegar - How can I use it in the Garden?
To Kill Weeds.
Spray on an undiluted Apple Cider Vinegar onto weeds. Keep using on any new plant growths until starvation of plants.
To Improve Soil Acidity.
Mix a cup of Apple Cider Vinegar with a gallon of water especially if you live in a hard water area.
The vinegar will aid in the releasing of iron from the soil. Many plants enjoy an acid soil in which to flourish.
Some plants that benefit are azaleas, rhododendrons and gardenias but there are many more.
Removing Garden Lime.
Since garden lime is highly alkaline, it can be nessesary to remove it from the hands so they do not become rough and flakey and old plant pots before reusing them. Simply liberally rinse with Apple Cider Vinegar to neutralize.
Increase Longevity Of Vase Flowers.
Use a combination of 2 teaspoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in a vase of water.
To Add Plant Nutrients To Soil.
Combine a ratio of 1:8 of Apple Cider Vinegar and water. Then make a solution of with a ratio of 8:1 of water and sugar. Add the two mixtures together and give to plants as long as is needed.
Patio and Driveways.
Apple Cider Vinegar effectively removes the dirt and moulds that accumulate on and between patio stones and driveways. Using neat Apple Cider Vinegar
will not only bring up the original colour, but also discourage grass, weeds and ants from colonising.
